A piece of our BSF reading this week-
“Peters faith failed. When Jesus spoke of the necessity of his sacrificial death, Peter said, “Never, Lord! This shall never happen to you!” Jesus rebuked Peter strongly, saying, “Get behind me, satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.” One moment Peter was a mouthpiece of the Holy Spirit, the next a tool of satan.
Does this describe you? It will. Unless you keep close to the Lord, anchored in His word.
WOW! Jesus just slapped me silly! I’ve been so full of distractions lately I have taken my eyes off the cross. It’s with those distractions I feel myself slipping further & fuether away which opens up the doors for satan to step in. I love how I can now feel & hear Jesus say, “Get back here! Don’t go too far” He calls me Home.
Set aside the distractions & listen to God telling you to Dig in. Keep your heart anchored in His word. & He will keep His word anchored in your heart.
