I recently shared Kanon and Rush’s room reveal, and finally am ready to share Blain’s! Blain is almost 13, so we wanted to give him a more grown-up space to hang out in. Once again, Collected Lubbock helped us design this fun and funky teen room, plus Ricky put in all the legwork when it came to painting! Here is how it all turned out!
Teen Room Reveal
Blain’s favorite color is green, so we did a two-tone green room using a dark green (Sherwin Williams Thunderous) for the accent wall and a lighter green (Sherwin Williams Green Earth) for the rest of the walls. As I mentioned, Ricky did all the painting (using his tried and true paint sprayer). One of the walls is divided in half by a long shelf for art and books.
We chose this Upholstered Wooden bed with Beddy’s bedding (use code MAGEN to save)! For extra coziness, we opted for some throw pillows paired with a faux leather lumbar pillow.
Decor-wise, we filled in the space with neutrals and little pops of green, like with small plants like this one. I loved the retro style of this checkered rug – it will go with so many different things over the years! Beside his bed, we found these metal nightstands and added this fun reading lamp on one side and this round table lamp on the other!
Since he’s entering his teen years, we wanted to give him a cool reading or gaming spot. I found this sherpa chair that’s perfect for lounging and added a gold floor lamp beside it for plenty of light.
After seeing Preslee’s neon light, Blain requested one of his own! We were gifted this neon green one from Custom Neon (see their Instagram for more fun inspo). I love how it turned out!
This teen room was so fun to redecorate! You can see the whole process on my Instagram here!
