In the last few years, I’ve tried to nail down the absolute best care for my hair. I’ve learned a lot of lessons from going blonde and back. Since my hair is asked about often on the ‘Gram, I wanted to devote a place right here on the blog to answering all your questions! Here are my best tips and tricks! For my full hair care routine, see this blog post!
My Hair Care Favorites
From shampoo and conditioner to leave-in sprays, all of my favorites can be found here!
When it comes to washing my hair, I only wash it once a week. Right now I am using the Divi shampoo and conditioner but I am still searching for one I love. I rotate between Head and Hair and DIVI shampoo and conditioner!
For the past few years, I have used collagen every day. I recommend using two tablespoons a day for at least 3-6 months and then continuing with one tablespoon in the maintenance phase. You can use my code MAGEN.
I also have been using this serum every night with a scalp massager. Lastly, I have been marinating my hair in this for a while now and it does wonders for me. One of my favorite hair masks out there!
One question I do get asked often is what my favorite dry shampoo is. I actually stopped using dry shampoo because I felt like it was breaking my ends off. I now rarely use it, if at all.
My Extensions
The last year, I took a break from my extensions to help with hair growth. Look at the results!
I just recently went back to add in a new set of extensions.
The extensions I have currently are XO Lover Hair – 7 David, and 4 Andrew. I have the 20-Inch Iconic Wefts, and your stylist can order it for you! My stylist is Lauren Pruitt in Lubbock, TX.

A few FAQs about extensions. When you first get extensions, your scalp can itch or be irritated for the first few days because of the tension but after that, it should go away. If it doesn’t, you need to speak to your stylist.
When it comes to tangling, a lot of issues unfortunately have to do with the brand of hair that was installed. Anytime I’ve had that issue, it’s been because of the quality of the extension hair. I do keep a small brush in my purse and car!
My Favorite Hair Tools
I love using the Dyson Airwrap for a blown-out look. My favorite tool for tighter curls is the GHD curling iron and my favorite for loose curls is the bio ionic long barrel, 1.5 inches – I have been using this one for forever!
