Hey baby let’s go to Vegas…like a lot. LOL. I love it! Gotta thank Ashlee and Brett for introducing us, I honestly don’t know if I would love it as much as I do without the proper introduction! They’ve been going for years and really showed us a good time, that was more our lifestyle. We’ve gone by ourselves a few times…but we’ve always gone with them pretty much every trip! And we wouldn’t have it any other way, it’s fun just us, but we love going with good friends too!
We have a direct flight from where we live, so it’s a quick hour and a half. Which makes it tempting to want to go quite a bit! We don’t party hard or anything like that. I will have a drink with girls (as long as Ricky is there) but we aren’t “club type” people. We’re too old and lame for that wild scene.
We didn’t go for the longest time because we thought that’s all it was. I really think now, knowing what I know, it’s whatever you make it. I also noticed a majority of the restaurant offer a “mocktail” menu, so if you’re drinking at all there’s tons of options! If I don’t want alcohol, I personally just order sparkling water with lemon and lime…I like it in a wine glass, just to feel fancy.
We truly go for the good food and shopping, and we do a little gambling. We love blackjack, roulette, and craps! I’ll have to teach y’all, Ricky and Brett taught me how to play roulette.
FAVE FOODS
Sushi Samba – this is a MUST! We go strictly for the Wagyu experience. It’s not cheap, but it’s insanely delicious! They bring the meat out, and you cook your own on a hot stone that’s placed on the table. We also love their shishito peppers. We tried their chicken teriyaki and purple sweet potatoes this last trip, and those were great! And don’t forget the banana desert!
Beauty & Essex – Great moody date night option! Everything is “shareable,” so we ordered a few things and shared them. For sure get the grilled cheese and tomato soup bites – SO dang good! Ricky loved them, and that’s not even his thing!
Nobu- Sushi MUST! You have to get the Jalapeño yellowtail as a appetizer- another thing Ricky normally wouldn’t eat, and he loved it! Nobu is another place you’ll order a bunch and all share! The experience with each plate is amazing and probably not things you would normally try. Definitely one of my new fave places we tried last trip!
Catch – Good seafood option! They also offer steak though if you’re not a seafood fan.
Javiers – Our fave Mexican food option! Can’t go wrong with anything there!

ACCOMMODATIONS/SHOPPING
We’ve only stayed at Wynn and Encore. They’re actually connected, so you can walk between the two. We really like with Wynn and stay there pretty much every time.
They’re both located at the end of the strip, so they don’t seem as busy as some of the hotels located more central strip. I feel like it’s a “older” more “chill” kinda crowd, which we like! Still tons of fun and great high energy, but just not like a “club scene” … if that makes sense. I could literally stay at the hotel the whole time. The shopping is amazing, they have just about every designer store you could want! Then if you want more non designer options, you cross the street and there’s a huge mall. So it’s perfect the location for all kinds of shopping! We also love the food at the Wynn! Some of my fave breakfast places are located in there – Terrace Point, avocado toast … best thing EVER! Jardins is good for lunch, and Allegros has the best late night pizza and meatballs! The Wynn has all the gambling you could ever want and a large sports bet section too, if your spouse is into that!
We’ve now gone pretty much in every season and I think they’re all great, depending your style. The winter months seemed a lot more chill and less crowded. So that was great if you wanted a more relaxed kinda trip.
Summer is HOT but so dang fun!! The Wynn/Encore have tons of pool options! They even have a “family friendly” pool at the Wynn… so it’s appropriate for kids. But … there’s also adult only ones … and they’re “interesting” to say the least ….
The Encore Beach Club is definitely more the younger/party scene type pool!

What outfits would you recommend for dinners to some of
The restaurants you recommended. Going in two weeks and have reservations for a few of those places already!

So do you think the rooms are nicer at the Encore than the Wynn?
