It’s time to chat all things self-tanning and I am SO excited!! Being able to tan my body when I want is so important to me and I have spent quite a bit of time trying different tanners so I can recommend the best of the best to you guys. Let’s get into it!
Self-Tanning FAQs
I get asked often what my favorite self-tanner is! I am really loving Lux Unfiltered right now. It is gluten-free, cruelty-free, and vegan. Seriously one of the best self-tanners I have ever used. They make a lotion that I apply afterward as well. You can grab that here!
To apply, you can use a tanning mitt. For your hands and feet, I highly recommend using this makeup body brush. When it comes to my back, I either have Ricky help me or use this back applicator.
With this self-tanner, I do sleep in it. On nights that I apply, Ricky knows not to touch me! Amazon also has a sleep sack that you can purchase to avoid getting self-tanner on your sheets. I do sleep in it and Ricky just knows not to touch me those nights. Amazon does have a sleep sack that you can get so you don’t get self-tanner on your sheets – get it HERE.
Self-Tanning Schedule
I don’t self-tan year round and I honestly don’t really even have a schedule with it. I just do it when I want. I can’t self-tan with laser hair removal so I am having to make sure I don’t have any on when my sessions are approaching!
In the summer, I will spend limited time in the sun but have to be careful because I’ve had pre-melanoma!
I hope this article helped answer all of your self-tanning questions! If you have any others, drop them in the comments below!
